These include ones that are more likely to be held by the general public (e.g. mania is always happy) and ones that are more likely to be held by people with the illness (it’s OK to stop taking my meds if I’m feeling good).
Julie Fast writes about a Bipolar Disorder Management Secret….. an answer (not THE answer, but an answer!). It’s a self-reflection exercise that I think could actually be useful for the rest of us as well.
This article on Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Psychosis: Where Have We Been and Where Are We Going? is actually more about schizophrenia. but I suppose the question of whether cognitive behavior therapy works for psychosis could also be relevant to those whose bipolar disorder includes psychotic features.
