My father was like that. It was all tied up with his view that Halloween was celebrating Paganism and witches. We always went to special church events on Halloween night just to make sure we didnt end up dancing around a pole or something. Heaven knows that at 9 in small town Indiana, that was what we kids were gonna go looking for.
